a day in cingkuak island, painan west sumatera

holiday season might be passed, and we all back again to real life, back to work. Honestly I didin't have time to have an holiday in the end of last year, what apitty me!!! but long before desember, i had my holiday in september of 2013. it was all day long vacation. we went to cingkuak island where is still in Painan, west sumatera. We arrived at Painan at 11 o'clock, the weather was good, and we went directly to cingkuak island by boat. i was affraid because that was my first time to ride a boat. The boat was not allowed to be loaded more than 15 people including the driver.

it was less than 10 minutes to get to cingkuak island cerocok beach Painan, I liked the scene from the boat, also the weather was so amazing that day. From the boat i could see indian ocean at my right side  and hills at my left side. the lanscape

Morning and The Ants

There is a time when I feel so tired of working, the laziness has controlled me badly, I hate waking up early in the morning, I hate to be on time come to the office every morning. Sometimes, I really want to be free from my monotone routine.   

That morning I walked in my neighborhood to filled my lug with some fresh air, I found the sun came out shyly from behind the palm tree, so I turned my camera on and took a picture. When I saw the picture, there was something interested me, The line of ants, They walked neatly in a line to the top of  the tree in a very fast step. I believed that they do the same thing everyday and they seem never tired of it.

I sighed. I really feel so low and poor. why I had to be lazy, why I have to get tired of routine. I agree sometimes life is not as well as I think, Sometimes i wish i could be someone else with different face and personality. But The more i think of it the more i feel so damn tired. Seeing the ants work hard and neat as their routine, make me realized that I shouldn't curse my routine, i should live it like hardly and happily. ..

I took this Picture few month ago, Me and my sister went out that night looking for some snack, We headed to one road in our small town, not a long road, but you can find so many food stall there. And we chose Bake Banana And Corn. And we loved it.

These two Picture I took when i was going out of town, The forest above was taken when the sunset, The golden colors came from the sunset's ray. The river picture was taken while i was resting to eat at the restorant in the margin of the river. There was a mother with her kids on that river. seem like the mother thought her kids to swim.

Study well at school son

I took this Picture not long ago, i was jogging with my sister that morning, this man came with his bike and his son sit on the back seat of the bike, I stopped and took some pictures, the scenery was so beautiful. natural lightning from sunrise make it event more beautiful.

I wondered will this scenery will last forever, when I have kids in the future, will they still find this place with it lovely morning scenery. 

I also wondered about this father and son relationship, In general father and son relationship was like this close when the son still kids, but as age grow, the son is getting older and as well as the father, generally their relationship become colder. But Of course not all father and son become like that, some of the father and son's relationship remain strong and warm. Father is always the roles models for his son, and no matter what father and son are love each other, but everyone has their own way to show.
Like this father on the picture, he show his love by drove his son to school early in the morning, so his son enters the class on time.

the fun snack, Kuaci and its nutrition

So, I was alone at home that evening , My sister was in teacher training in other city. One of my neighbor kid came to my house and brought a pack of Kuaci, Kuaci is a snack that made of Sunflowers seed, it is tasty. I am not a fan of this snack, but I'd glad to eat it if it free kekeke.

I want to put my the picture that i have taken, but the brand is included, so I put a pictures of Kuaci which i search in web.
Since Kuaci made from the seed of Sunflower sure it has alot of nutrition, sunflowers seeds are a source of healthy fats (unsaturated) nearly 90%, vitamins, antioxidants, minerals, protein and phytochemicals that are very good. Additionally, sunflower seeds contain polyunsaturated fats (linoleic acid) and single (oleic acid), a type of fat that protects the heart. Clinical studies showed that foods high in unsaturated fats are better than low-fat foods, because it increases HDL (good cholesterol) and lowers LDL (bad cholesterol).

Sunflower seeds are also the richest source of vitamin E; a quarter cup of sunflower seeds provides 90.5% of the daily requirement of vitamin E. Vitamin E is an antioxidant and anti-inflammatory; reduce symptoms of asthma, osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis, which is mainly influenced by free radicals and inflammation.

Adequate intake of vitamin E may reduce the risk of developing plaque in blood vessels and colon cancer. Also can reduce the severity and frequency of hot flashes (hot flush) women experienced menopause and diabetes complications. 

Sunflowers seeds also contain many beneficial minerals, such as phosphorus. Minerals calcium and phosphorus are very important role in the formation of bone and teeth, making it useful for preventing osteoporosis. The presence of potassium minerals are very important to balance the sodium. Potassium is hypertensive, which has the effect of blood pressure reduction.

Nutrition is no less important in the sunflower seeds are phytosterols, one of the phytochemicals. If consumed in adequate amounts, shown to lower blood cholesterol levels, heart healthy, improve the immune response and reduce the risk of some cancers. Sunflower seeds are also rich in folate (very good for pregnant women) and various minerals like magnesium, selenium, copper, zinc, calcium, and iron. Comfort me Please, Hongki and Sun Ray

I was upset few days ago, I really didn't want to think about the reason that make me feel bad and sad. This was the first big thing for me to  face this kind of problem. I just wanted to solve it without avoiding it, In this state of circumstance and this old of age, I thought I should face this wisely. Too make me feel little relax, so I browsed down in Youtube and I found Ft. Island Song  " Severely"

This Is a sad song, but i just feel little comfort with Hongki's Voice. The meaning of this song was totally different with the problem that I face.
Without had many time to solve what make me upset, I had to go out of this town for a Workshop, While I was listening to "Severaly" over and over among the road, I met this reflection of sun ray on the Forrest in my way out of town.

 Somehow it made my mood up little bit. I can't turn on to friend or lover to find some comfort feeling. I only have this kind of world of mine, let me enjoy it to make me happy.

My New Handmade Paper Beads Beacelet

Finally, after a very long time. I made a Bracelet from paper beads. I was confused by The paper beads that I have made sometimes ago, I had no inspiration what  would I made them into. So last week the Idea has final come. I made a bracelet.


I used an elastic nylon to combine all paper beads. The paper that I used ware old wedding invitations for the bigger beads and old cosmetic catalogs for the smaller one.

I used silver color beads caps, at first I thought it was not a good color's combination, but after it was rearranged together I love the color.

I also used a brown stone to give this bracelet an ethnic feel.

I just like it.

The view from Langkisau, Painan West Sumatera

On December last year, I had a chance to come to Painan, is in south coast of West Sumatera. We came there to attend West Sumatra’s exhibition of international literacy day for 4 days. At First day we came we were just busy preparing our booth, and attended the opening ceremony, Painan’s regent said in his welcoming speech that there are few natural attraction in Painan, which were Carocok Beach, Langkisau Hill and Jembatan Aka ( The Root Bridge). But because of we had to attend several event at day one, so we barely had time to visit those place.

But We had that chance on day 3. The first destination was Langkisau, because its location quite close to the location where the even was held. It is a hill, maybe it is medium size of hill, but to reach the top of the hill, we must go through a fairly sharp ascent. Along the way, we can see beautiful views of both sides of the hill, south-west is the ocean and the east is the city. The day was cloudy, so we only got the cloudy pictures

Those a very nice view, I think this experience i won't forget, even stiil in the same province, I barely had a chance to come here again.

Sunset On the Lake

Holiday is running now, and I’ve been busy to clean out my house. Painting and cleaning seem like never ending. Thinking about holiday, where is the place that I really want to go on holiday? I don’t have much reference about that. In this small town, to have an holiday on shopping mall is a bad idea, because here there no shopping mall. So to have recreation in nature is the only choice that I have. The lake, Singkarak Lake is one of my favorite places to go on holiday. But I would just sit by the lake enjoying the scenery.

So before holiday season was come, I went to the lake. It was almost dusk time; I could see the sun almost set behind the hills across the lake. I took this picture from moving car, so it is a little bit blur. But I like the color of that sunset, golden orange and bright, and it gave beautiful shadows in the water.

Along the banks of this lake, There some home stay that can be leased. But, in my opinion, the number of home stay or even a hotel around the lake isn’t too many . Restaurant and souvenirs are dominant along this lake’s bank. In my opinion, the scenery here is very beautiful and the atmosphere is also very suitable for relax. Probably a lot of tourists who want to enjoy the relaxation experience. And also around this lake, also ideal to established a spa, the environment and situation are good for Spa.

So we stopped to see the lake closer and take few picture, I found this flower tree was blooming so I took its picture.

Not long after I sat in the bank of the lake, the sun begun to hide behind the hills, and I decide to continue my journey back home.

Planting Time !!

I woke up this morning because of the sun’s rays that came through my windows. It brighten up my eyes so I couldn’t t close my eyes to sleep anymore. That morning was very nice morning and the weather was comfortable. I saw the sun and took my camera to take picture of it. But When I came out with the camera some cloud covered the sun and I lost the moment how bright it was.

Let have a sunbathing!!

The weather was very fine that day, My sister asked me to take her to her friend's house. It was almost in the middle of the day and the sun's light and heat was very good. After taking my sister to her friend's house, I deliberately took the other road, because I know the scene on that road is definitely very refreshing.

I just love how green this area, and seeing this make me wonder will it still be like this 5 or 10 more years in the future. In my neighborhood it was this green when I was a child, but it has been changing years by years. Now after 20 years my neighborhood full of residence, and I rarely see green.

The sun's heat was really good to enjoy that day, But for me, I don't like to be under the sun too long it make me darker ( I am already dark, heheh), But This cow seem like to enjoy showered by sun's light

it sat bautifully on the dry hay, sunbathing like that seem fun. there are some fields around here that have been harvested, some have not yet. When the rice fields were still green, it must provide beautiful scenery and refreshing.
Not only cow use this moment to sunbathing, those ducks seem really had  fun

it seems that this field has been irrigated, it may soon be cultivated for the next planting season, but before, the ducks took advantage of the bright day for swimming. But when I come it looks like they're done swimming and getting ready to go. Andi I  love the background,coconut trees's forest and the hills in the back of that trees.
I hope it will be like this forever, I am afraid the cow lost its place for relax and the ducks don't know where to swim.

Reflection Of morning Sunrise

I'm really tired lately, cleaning the house tooks a lot of energy and time. I had just lost my mother a month ago, we decided to repaint the house and tidy up the house as my mother's wishes when she was still alive. I, my sister and my father, the three of us, doing everything except the paint we hire someone to do it. I hope My mother happy there seeing our house clean and tidy. But, I still feel sad if remember my mother, I sometimes still want mom here, but it was the will of god, I can only pray that she is happy there.

After the house clean and tidy, I gave my self a rest. Wake up in the morning of the next day, I looked at the clock on my  phone's screen was 11 AM.  I said to myself, I slept for a long time, am I tired it? When I came out, the sun was shining so bright. I rushed to take a camera, this is a good moment I think, so I took pictures

What to drink and wear in this Hot Weather?

I've been killed by this hot weather lately, and it make me want to do nothing. In this hot day like this, it will be nice to sit under the tree and soft wind blow touch my face while watching great scene of a large lake

well, but to hangout in a lake what suitable clothes to wear?? Oke i have reference to look good on the lake, maybe to hangout with friend or picnic

Park Jung Min Photoshoped

Park Jung Min, Who is that? If you like K-pop you know who he is, he is a Korean Idol, a singer in a group called SS501, but now he goes solo. Why i made this post? recently I found few of Jungmin Pictures on internet, some of them are in his recent photobook and Jacket photo for his album. I just like the way those picture shown, his poses, his make up and everything. or maybe he just has photogenic face, so every pictures that came up become the candy of my eyes hehehe.. And the most important for me is the fact that i can use those Jung min Pictures to learn Photoshop.

Lets make Pumpkins Bread

Now here is a recipe that can be used during the Thanksgiving season as well as the Christmas season although when it comes to food and of course I know how to prepare all the recipes that I share with everyone everyday can be a holiday for me depending on what my taste is for a particular day.

Every persons taste is different and that is what makes the world go around, but there isn't much that I don't like when it comes to the sweet things.

Remember your ingredients should be at room temperature.

1-2/3 cups all purpose flour

1 ½ teaspoons baking powder

1 teaspoon baking powder

1 teaspoon cinnamon

½ teaspoon salt

2 large eggs slightly beaten

1 ½ cups sugar 1 ½ cups canned solid pack pumpkin

½ cup vegetable oil

1/3 cup each walnuts and raisins

Let make Fish Curry

Few days ago, My mother really wanted to eat Fish curry, she told me to make it for her. In our town there is a restaurant that well known about their fish curry. So This kind a fish curry that my mother want me to make. 

First, we need to prepare the ingredients, so early that morning, i went to traditional market to buy everything that related to fish curry. Here The list :

1. fish/ river fish
2. coconut milk

These ingredients for mashed

1. galangal
2. ginger
3. lemongrass
4. turmeric
5. lime leaf
6. red onion
7. garlic
8. chili
9. lime
10. salt

after we got all the ingredients, first of all we need to clean the fish, and marinated it with water from lime and salt. Put the coconut Milk into the pot, then add the ingredients that have been mashed. stir until boiling, or until you see the bubbles. Then add the marinated fish. wait until the bubbles appear. Then The curry rady to eat.. Eat with hot white rice.. So yummy

Lesson From Drama " Bad Guy" ; Greedy is Bad

I Currently follow the Korean drama "nappeun Namja (Bad Guy). Its too late actually, instead the drama was already aired last year in Korea, But in Indonesia, it still running 

Well, i did not know what episode that i watched that time, The scene is about, Jae-in ( Han Ga In) quit her job, because she can't stand about her boss behavior anymore, who is happen the mother of Tae Sung (Kim Jae Wook), A man Who loves Jae-In. Her Boss assumed that Jae-In approached to her son, because of money and power that her family had. Then she quit. At the beggining, Jae-In Who has been dumped by her boyfriend because of her life which is not in wealthy. From that moment Jae-in want to have a rich boyfriend, just to know how the feeling of rich people. So Yes she did approached to Tae-sung because of his Wheathy. 

So Happy Today

I made cupcakes and sell it. I think I've mentioned it here before. After five days the selling of my cupcakes was  very disappointing. Sometimes all the cupcakes that i made none of them were sold. I was very sad. I think there must be something wrong with the taste of cupcakes. But everyone that i asked to taste it, they said it good, the taste is good. chocolate cupcakes are probably not too enthused by many people around my neighborhood.
So I decide to spread the cupcakes to another place outside my neighborhood,  I choose a small shop near to the center of this city. I put 10 cupcakes for beginning. 
This morning I went to that small shop, I got mixed feeling, afraid and hope.  I'm so afraid because if none of them were sold, i don't know what to do next, what things i should do for living and making money, because i can't be an employer. So i put my big expectation on this. Well, when i arrived to the shop, the old man who is the shop keeper, say that 9 of them were sold, and it made me feel so very happy. He gave the money and i say thanks to him many time. 
I drove my motorbike, back home, and i almost cry because of compassion. I know this maybe too much or over reacted, but I am so happy today...

Here I come again with Paper bead Work, So i found so many Invitation in ware room in the back of my house, some of them still in good condition, so i decided to make something from those paper. So i cut it, rolled it and coated it, and here its come:
